This Memorial Day Weekend Camp, powered by Quarterback Magazine and Wide Receiver Magazine, is Southern California’s premier experience for rising quarterbacks and wide receivers. Athletes will sharpen their skills with position-specific drills, competitive game scenarios, and hands-on coaching from experienced instructors.
Running from early morning to afternoon, the camp leaves plenty of time to enjoy San Diego. Explore the Gaslamp Quarter, relax at Coronado Beach, visit Balboa Park, or take a scenic harbor cruise. More than a camp, it’s a chance to push your limits on the field and make Memorial Day Weekend a memorable mini-vacation.

Get ready for 8 hours of nonstop on-field training over two action-packed days! This camp is for quarterbacks, wide receivers, tight ends, and running backs of all ages and skill levels, combining skill development, hands-on coaching, and competitive play to push every athlete to their full potential.
Leading the camp are two top QB coaches: Mike Giovando, with over 30 years of experience training athletes from youth to the NFL, and Shane Dillon, a former Division I recruit from San Diego and Elite 11 finalist, now mentoring young quarterbacks with his high-level playing experience.
Athletes will be grouped by age and experience and receive personalized instruction from our expert coaching staff.

MEET THE QUARTERBACK COACHES:
(1) - QB Coach Mike Giovando, founder of Elev8QBAcademy in Phoenix, AZ, has trained over 1,500 quarterbacks and helped his athletes earn more than 400+ college scholarships. He is one of the nation’s top private QB coaches, bringing three decades of experience coaching at every level of football—from youth athletes to the NFL—and a deep network of college coaching contacts for recruiting.
(2) - QB Coach Shane Dillon, an Elite 11 finalist in 2011 and nationally ranked in high school, and a former University of Colorado quarterback, brings advanced QB knowledge and offensive strategy to our camp. He serves as Offensive Coordinator and QB coach at Westview High School and also organizes a June College Bus TOUR, taking 40 high school athletes to visit D1 college camps and providing invaluable exposure and insight from his high school and college playing experience. He is also the founder of Slayer QB Academy.
(3) - QB Coach Christian Chapman, the winningest QB in SDSU history, led the Aztecs to two Mountain West titles and multiple bowl victories. Now coaching at Carlsbad High School, he brings invaluable experience and insight, giving players at our SoCal Showcase the tools and guidance to elevate their game and stand out to college recruiters.
(4) - QB Coach Kyle Crum, an active quarterback at San Diego State University, brings current college-level experience to our SoCal Showcase. He is dedicated to developing young QBs, sharing the skills and knowledge he’s gained from top-level coaches. His commitment to helping the next generation makes him an invaluable resource for aspiring players.
(5) - QB Coach Luis Pérez is a Division II national champion and Harlon Hill Trophy winner from Texas A&M‑Commerce. He has played in the NFL, XFL, USFL, and UFL, excelling in alternative leagues and leading the Arlington Renegades in passing in 2024. Known for his resilience, poise, and smart decision-making, he serves as an invaluable resource and inspiration for young quarterbacks.
(6) - OC/QB Coach Joe Irelan – Offensive Coordinator and Quarterbacks Coach at Grossmont College, Joe is a former quarterback at Shasta College and Toledo. A Bill Walsh Fellowship alum with the Chicago Bears, he’s coached at Ohio State, San Diego, and North Carolina Central. Joe excels at developing quarterbacks and teaching offensive strategy, helping players take their game to the next level.

MEET THE WIDE RECEIVER COACHES
(1) - WR Coach Sebastian Bash – Founder of the Wide Receiver Magazine + Academy, Coach Bash has over a decade of experience working with athletes at all levels, from youth to NFL and CFL players. His focus on fundamentals, leadership, and mindset helps players maximize their potential without altering their natural abilities.
(2) - WR Coach Christian Jourdain – A standout at East Texas A&M University, Coach Jourdain brings resilience and determination to the field. His journey through multiple colleges provides an inspiring example for athletes aiming to elevate their game.
(3) - WR Coach Victor Dean – Dynamic WR who played at Fresno State and Portland State, averaging 23 yards per catch and scoring multiple TDs. Lincoln High standout with 1,491 yards and 21 TDs as a senior.
